Job summary

Seaport Steel Company in Airway Heights, WA is seeking a reliable forklift operator to move and position steel loads within the production yard and facility.

You will unload rail cars and trailers, load materials to trailers per work orders, inspect equipment, and maintain a clean work area while following safety programs. This full-time role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and basic math skills for weight measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read simple words and numbers; basic math for weight measurement.

Responsibilities

• Unload material from rail cars and trailers and store them within designated areas based on material.
• Load material to trailers based on work order instructions.
• Inspect the forklift before using it.
• Clean work area daily and keep designated areas organized.
• Cut wood from railcars and store it in the designated work area.
