Job summary

Oregon Metals is seeking a Machine Maintenance technician for a swing shift in Portland, OR. The role involves maintaining and repairing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting production lines across the plant.

Ideal candidates will have welding proficiency, ability to replace belts and bearings, and strong mechanical problem-solving skills. The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and operating lifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent with related maintenance experience.
• Proficient in basic math operations and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience with welding and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve machine problems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on drives, motors, belts, and filters.
• Demonstrate welding proficiency and ability to fabricate components.
• Replace belts, chains, valves, bearings, sprockets, and gearboxes.
• Lubricate production lines and support equipment; perform lubrication as required.
