Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a warehouse forklift operator to perform inbound and outbound shipment tasks in a fast-paced facility. The role requires operating all forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and following strict safety protocols.

  • Knowledge of inbound/outbound forklift responsibilities.
  • Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
  • Certification in operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Operates all forklift functions within the warehouse for outbound, inbound, and inventory.
  • Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Uses RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill duties.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Handles hazardous materials in inbound and outbound processes.
  • Ensures 5S safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Completes safety training and follows risk protocols.
  • Wears PPE appropriate to tasks.
  • Holds certification for powered industrial trucks (sit-down, dock stocker, pallet jacks).
  • Knows safety regulations related to forklift operation.
  • Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Responsible for operating power industrial truck to transport material within the facility. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers.

Salary: $22.00 Hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Possesses full knowledge of all forklift functions within the warehouse to include all outbound,
  • inbound, and inventory functions.
  • Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Full knowledge of RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill role and responsibilities within inbound and outbound functions.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound.
  • Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
  • Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations.
  • Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand.
  • Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, dock stocker and powered pallet jacks.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
  • Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
  • Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in operating all industrial forklifts within the facility
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of multiple area of functional responsibility (inbound, outbound forklift roles)
  • Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility
  • Certification in operating various type of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 3% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
