Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Morris Plains, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Associate to optimize shipping and inventory processes. Day shift, on-site role, wage $24.00 per hour.

The position requires 2+ years of warehouse experience, PPE, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work 5 days in the office. You will mentor teammates, operate forklifts, and help improve workflows while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process shipments for quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate order preparation and shipping with precision and timeliness.
  • Manage advanced inventory discrepancies and maintain records.
  • Operate and supervise forklift and pallet jack use safely.
  • Train team members on equipment use and safety procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to improve workflows and productivity.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and solve operational challenges.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Leverages extensive warehouse expertise to ensure efficient operations, maintain high standards of accuracy, and mentor less experienced team members. Plays a key role in streamlining processes, resolving complex issues, and upholding safety and organizational standards in a fast-paced environment.

Will be handling freight shipping processes.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt, inspection, and processing of shipments to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Coordinate order preparation and shipping with precision and timeliness
  • Handle advanced inventory management, resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate records
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Train team members on proper equipment use and safety procedures
  • Mentor and guide less experienced staff, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment following safety protocols
  • Work with supervisors and team members to improve workflows and productivity
  • Take initiative to solve operational challenges and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed, including loading and unloading trucks
Required Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required
  • 5 days in office
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Strong foundational skills in math, reading, and writing are essential
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order processing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and procedures
  • Action oriented and resourceful
Physical Activity:
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
  • Working from heights such as roofs, ladders, or powered lifts
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including awkward or tight and confined spaces
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, pushing, or pulling
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions: Constantly
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers: Frequently
  • Operating machinery or power tools: Frequently
  • Operating motor vehicles, industrial l vehicles, or heavy equipment: Occasionally

Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Wage: $24.00

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 3% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
