Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator in New Jersey to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, RF scanners, and other equipment while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The role requires meeting production standards, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in varied temperatures. Overtime, evenings, or weekends may be required as directed by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with a Raymond brand High-Reach or Stand-Up Forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check for accuracy and damage.
• Operate equipment safely per OSHA standards and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Meet production standards while keeping work area organized.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed.
