Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. in Vernon, CA is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.

You will load and unload freight, stack and store merchandise, inspect for damage, and support inventory and cleaning tasks. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and 3 months of related experience is preferred. Overtime and punctual attendance are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for damage and infestation, and label and pack as directed by management.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely in accordance with OSHA standards and production needs.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
