Job summary

Americold in Carson, CA is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks. You will load and unload, stack, pick orders, and ensure accuracy.

The role requires a GED/HS diploma and at least 3 months’ related experience, with OSHA compliance and lifting up to 55 lbs. Overtime, evenings, or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and work in varying temperatures as described in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and pick/assemble orders for shipment.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, sort, wrap, pack and repack as directed.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or fork-lift battery changes as needed.
