Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to move materials, load/unload goods, and support manufacturing operations. You will operate sit-down, propane, and electric forklifts, follow safety protocols, and assist in various warehouse tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires basic English reading and arithmetic, reliability for scheduled hours, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled setting. Join a team focused on precision and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down, propane and electric forklifts.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/understand written instructions in English.
• Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling and positioning heavy products.
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE correctly.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from work centers using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Load products onto motor freight and move finished goods to storage or shipping areas.
• Remove waste materials and dispose of them in dumpsters.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate production work orders.
• Perform general clerical tasks as needed.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and safe; ensure proper maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed to support operations.
