Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. seeks skilled Laborers to join our manufacturing team. You will safely operate forklifts, assist assembly with tools, and inspect parts for quality as they move through production.

Maintain clean work areas, follow safety policies, and support additional duties across departments as needed. Candidates should be able to read blueprints and tape measures, perform basic math, and stand for long shifts in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation and safety awareness in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in assembly.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand blueprints.
• Basic math and ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Physical capability to lift, push, pull and stand for long shifts.
• Reliable, punctual and compliant with safety and procedures.
• Able to work well with others and maintain accuracy daily.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Adaptability to a non-climate-controlled environment and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials within the plant safely.
• Support assembly using hand and power tools per production standards.
• Inspect finished parts for quality before transfer.
• Handle materials safely using manual or crane assistance as needed.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties across departments as production requires.
