Job summary

Americold in Sanford, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, RF equipment, and pallet jacks. You will load/unload, stack, pick orders, and verify accuracy while maintaining a clean, organized work area and meeting production standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and equipment.
• Commitment to safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, and check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and forklift battery changes as needed.
