Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a reliable forklift operator to handle loading, unloading and material handling in a fast-paced plant environment. You will operate a forklift, wrap materials when required and maintain organized stock, while documenting shipments and counts for production.

Safety and rules compliance are essential, with potential overtime and weekend shifts. Starting hourly pay is $23.18, with annual bonuses based on plant performance metrics and standard benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of forklift operation experience.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and heavy forklift traffic.
• Must obtain and maintain PCA forklift certification/license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keep stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Pull jobs for production and manage inbound forms, inventory tags and counts.
• Assist with other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance workload and maintain warehouses.
• Follow safety rules and procedures for forklift operation and report any equipment issues.
• Be alert to defects in incoming materials and adhere to company policies.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
