Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records are kept. You will supply production with materials per schedule and maintain orderly inventory yards.

Responsibilities include moving materials between stations, labeling goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing routine equipment checks. Adherence to safety policies and participation in CI programs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driver licensing is required to complete.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, and label finished goods.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Keep inventory yard organized and clean; maintain records as required.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift safety rules as described by policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
