UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production, maintaining accurate paperwork and production records. The role involves providing material as scheduled, labeling and packing goods, and ensuring inventory flow aligns with production needs.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety rules, accurate record-keeping, and participation in CI and other programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is 9th grade; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques is a plus.
• Must successfully complete forklift driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Move material from inventory to production and back according to schedule.
• Band, wrap, pack, and label finished goods.
• Move finished goods from production to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup checklists and report issues.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs.
