Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, ensuring accurate paperwork and timely delivery of materials according to schedule.

You will help with bottlenecks, perform basic maintenance, complete pre-shift checklists, and maintain organized inventory yards while following company forklift rules and participating in safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
