Job summary

Speedrack is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator in Michigan to support production. You will drive a forklift and other equipment, track material with scan guns, and assist with loading/unloading.

The role emphasizes following safety procedures, reading measurements, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read & write.
• Must read a tape measure accurately.
• Pass written exam and physical observation test for an Industrial Truck Permit.
• Ability to adapt to changing job functions.
• Capable of working well with coworkers of different backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives of the facility.
• Drive forklift and/or other industrial equipment.
• Adhere to all requirements of the Powered Industrial Truck Program.
• Keep accurate counts on material loaded, unloaded, or moved.
• Operate a handheld scan gun to track material movement and location.
• Load/unload trucks and move material to corresponding departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Notify supervisor or lead of needed items.
• Maintain professional conduct with coworkers, customers and vendors.
• Meet productivity, quality and performance standards.
