Job summary

Speedrack in Michigan is seeking a General Laborer to support production needs and ensure efficient material flow on the shop floor. You will actively participate in continuous improvement and uphold safety policies.

You will load and unload materials, operate forklifts if licensed, inspect parts, use various power tools, and keep work areas clean and organized while meeting productivity targets and adapting to changing assignments.

Qualifications

• Ability to read & write and follow instructions.
• Strong measurement reading (tape measure) accuracy.
• Willingness to pass an Industrial Truck Permit written/physical test.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing job functions and teams.
• Capable of collaborating with coworkers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Load and unload materials manually and with equipment as licensed.
• Operate forklift or other industrial equipment if licensed.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials moved and ensure proper handling.
• Move materials to appropriate departments, keep areas clean and organized.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Assist other departments when needed and meet productivity standards.
