Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, Performance Pet Products in Mitchell, SD, is hiring a Material Handler for 1st and 2nd shifts. Starting pay $20.73/hour with a $2 night differential, comprehensive benefits, and 401K match. Apply to contribute to loading, unloading, inventory and shipping duties in a multi-protein facility.

Shifts include 1st and 2nd with potential Friday hours. Experience in warehouse/manufacturing and forklift operation preferred; on-site work with regular attendance required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
• Experience operating a forklift and ability to pass certifications.
• Effective communication and accurate record-keeping on shipping documents.
• Ability to count and perform basic math with a calculator.
• Safety-conscious, able to work in a multi-protein environment (beef, pork, chicken, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down/stand-up forklift to load/unload and store products.
• Move materials between production floor and storage areas.
• Review bills of lading and purchase orders for shipment accuracy.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and paperwork.
• Assist in gathering materials and preparing orders for shipment.
