Job summary

AKG of America in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift to keep material flowing through the plant. You will unload shipments, document parts, maintain inventory accuracy and prepare weekly outbound shipments for Midwest distribution.

This role requires forklift certification, a valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and the ability to read work orders and blueprints. English communication is required; SAP experience is a plus as you locate and track inventory.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy; read, write, and understand work orders and blueprints.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Forklift operation (certification required).

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, review packing slips, and maintain accurate records.
• Unload incoming trucks, sort parts, and place materials on the welding line.
• Prepare and load weekly Midwest shipments; confirm shipping reports.
• Use SAP to locate, retrieve, and track inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and notify Purchasing when replenishment is needed.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and company policies.
