Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our distribution center. This role offers a fixed wage of $21.31 per hour, Monday through Friday, with a focus on safety and quality service.

You will operate forklifts, load/unload materials, and handle distribution paperwork in a fast-paced warehouse. We provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Read and understand sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
