Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I (Canada) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, performing order picking, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months forklift experience and successful completion of NFI forklift certification, plus strong attention to detail and basic math.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Completes pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per customer and operational requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains documentation to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical and cycle counts as directed.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support inventory management.
