Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. You will ensure safe forklift operation and may assist with order filling or checking as needed, while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and readiness to follow safety procedures. Prior forklift experience and a valid certification with NFI are preferred, with on-site work in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience (preferred).
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Completes and documents pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per customer requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and supports cycle counts.
