Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate material handling equipment in our warehouse. You will move, stack, count, and relocate merchandise while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

The role may include order filling and checking duties as needed to maintain productivity. Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months of forklift experience, plus the ability to pass NFI forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months forklift operation experience or related warehouse equipment experience.
• Must qualify and pass forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently following safety procedures.
• Complete pre-operation inspection forms.
• Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment per customer requirements.
• Verify correct quantity and product type for loading and shipping.
• Perform order picking accurately and timely.
• Report inventory discrepancies and assist with cycle counts.
