Job summary

NFI is hiring a Forklift Operator I in Hillsborough Township, NJ to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. You will operate forklifts safely, perform order picking, and support inventory controls with RF scanning.

The role may include order filler or checker duties, requiring attention to detail and basic math skills. A base pay of $21.00–$22.00 per hour with potential extra $1/hour for shift work, plus a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently, following safety procedures.
• Complete required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment according to requirements.
• Verify correct quantity and product type before loading or shipping.
• Perform order picking accurately and promptly.
• Use RF scanning devices to support inventory accuracy.
• Maintain documentation to support inventory control and security.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
