Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience operating heavy equipment like a 30K forklift.
• A valid license with acceptable driving record is required.
• Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative.
• Active TWIC Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a <=30K forklift safely and efficiently with at least 6 months of experience.
• Handle different commodities with various attachments.
• Operate in terminal, dock, and related areas.
• Mount/dismount safely with three points of contact.
• Start up and shut down forklift properly and park with brakes set.
• Use controls correctly and stack loads squarely at safe heights.
• Load/unload trailers, vans, railcars, or containers safely and efficiently.
• Notify supervisor of any cargo damage or equipment issues.
• Follow all safety policies and stop-work authority rules.
