Qualifications

  • Experience in cargo transportation (preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks, record keeping, and equipment operation.
  • Must possess a valid TWIC Card.

This position involves operating and maintaining heavy industrial forklifts (8,000-50,000 lbs.) and other equipment in a fast-paced maritime environment. Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including industrial forklifts, man lifts, and loaders, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-job inspections and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Assist with deck and warehouse operations as needed to support overall cargo handling activities.
  • Perform quality inspections of various cargoes and accurately record production information in accordance with company standards.
  • Transload cargo to and from trucks, railcars, vessels, and barges, ensuring accuracy by marks and count and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support and participate in company safety initiatives, following all operational directives and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
