Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. in Winchester, VA is hiring a Lift Truck Operator to manage warehousing and shipping tasks for production materials including preforms and bottles. You will operate forklifts, load and unload shipments, and ensure proper labeling and packaging per SQMS standards.

The role emphasizes safety and accurate handling in a team environment. Minimum requirements include 18+ and a valid driver’s license; OSHA forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Comfortable working in warehouse conditions.
• Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.
• Able to follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and duties related to warehousing and shipping of all production, including preforms and bottles.
• Supply pallets, top frames, and tier sheets to the palletizers and reload equipment with strap and wrap as necessary.
• Notify maintenance if equipment is malfunctioning and provide information to resolve problems.
• Store bottles and preforms in the warehouse with correct labeling and packaging per SQMS standards; report damaged products.
• Load and unload preforms, bottles and other items for shipment; communicate with customers when dispatcher unavailable.
• Unload dunnage shipments, build dunnage for palletizing equipment, and follow hygiene specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report unsafe conditions; inspect equipment including fork trucks.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader and comply with product safety regulations.
