FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks for receiving, storing, and order fulfillment at our Edwardsville, IL facility.

The role emphasizes product safety, quality, legality, and integrity with daily equipment inspections, adherence to PPE and safety rules, and teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment (electric pallet jack, stand-up/sit-down forklift).
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets/cases from trucks and conveyors.
• Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts.
• Sorting and building products to pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Quality control to ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Maintain storage location accuracy via daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and perform other duties as assigned.
