Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I in Bartlett, TN to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment and support receipt, storage, and order fulfillment processes. The role emphasizes product safety, quality, legality, and operational integrity within a fast-paced distribution setting.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking materials, building pallets, applying shrink wrap, and performing daily equipment inspections, cycle counts, and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment (electric pallet jack, stand-up forklift).
• Must meet PPE requirements and OSHA safety rules.
• Strong sense of urgency with attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service oriented.
• Team player and able to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors.
• Safely operate forklifts to move, transport, and stack materials.
• Sort and build palletized products to meet customer standards.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of transactions.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate storage locations and conduct cycle counts.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and company procedures.
• Perform additional distribution tasks as needed.
