Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a Forklift Operator I on 1st shift (Day) to safely operate Sit-Down/Stand-Up forklifts and electric pallet jacks for receiving, storing, and fulfilling orders. You will help ensure product safety, quality, and integrity while meeting customer expectations.

The role supports daily distribution operations, requires adherence to OSHA safety standards, and offers benefits with competitive pay based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment (electric pallet jack and Stand-up/Sit-down forklift).
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer service driven.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors (manual or via equipment).
• Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts.
• Sorting and building products to pallets to match customer expectations.
• Applying shrink wrap to pallets with machinery.
• Quality control to ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Performing daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
• Maintaining storage location accuracy via daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Carrying out other distribution duties as needed by volume.
• Adhering to OSHA safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
