Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, load, unload, and stack materials in our warehouse operations, focusing on safe, efficient material flow and inventory accuracy using RF scanners. You will work a continental 12-hour shift (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.) and must have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years in warehouse ops, and a valid driver's license; forklift or heavy machinery certification is preferred, OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Ability to work a continental 12-hour shift (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.).
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Prior forklift/heavy machinery experience and certification preferred.
• OSHA training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas.
• Obtains production schedules and shipping orders and identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials accordingly.
• Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedules to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of items.
• Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; disposes of waste materials in designated containers.
• Reports problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
• Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
• Serves equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to truck mechanics.
• All other duties as assigned.
