Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently load/unload materials, using powered industrial trucks and RF scanning to ensure accurate product movement. You will move goods to storage areas and handle loading operations with attention to safety and quality controls.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and forklift experience; strong math and communication skills are essential. The role is onsite in Ontario, CA with opportunities for growth and adherence to GMP/FSMA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate RF handheld scanner to record movements.
• Verify carrier and pallet quantity using load sheets before loading.
• Unload, inspect pallets and trailers for damage and cleanliness.
• Perform pre-op forklift inspections and battery maintenance per SOP.
• Follow GMPs and FSMA food safety policies; report food safety concerns.
