Job summary

CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, is hiring a Forklift Operator I in Mesquite, TX. The role focuses on safe forklift operations, material handling, and maintaining inventory accuracy within warehouses and production environments.

Responsibilities include moving materials, verifying orders, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while supporting efficient plant operations and housekeeping duties. Prior forklift experience and OSHA awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Ability to work a continental 12-hour shift schedule (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.).
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Forklift or heavy machinery certification preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment including RF scanners, pallet wrappers, label machines, hand jacks, and hand dollies.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas.
• Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials accordingly.
• Assists with loading capacity and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of items.
• Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect loads; preserves cleanliness and disposes of waste materials in designated containers.
• Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
• Operates and services warehouse equipment as needed and reports mechanical or electrical issues.
