Job summary

Americold in Kentucky is seeking a Forklift Operator responsible for safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks.

You will load/unload, stack, pick orders, verify accuracy, and maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with production standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least three months of related experience; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label/sort/wrap/pack as directed.
• Operate equipment in accordance with OSHA standards to promote safety (various forklift types and RF scanners).
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and other duties as needed.
