Job summary

Americold in Sioux City is seeking a diligent Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.

Under general supervision, you will load/unload freight, stack merchandise, check for damage, assist with inventory, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Overtime and adherence to OSHA standards are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and prepare orders for shipment.
• Inspect freight for accuracy and damage and label appropriately.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and forklift battery changes as needed.
