Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials throughout the plant, using stand-up reach trucks and ensuring accurate handling of inventory. This role requires certified forklift operation, ability to lift 40 pounds, and a commitment to safety; you will support production and logistics teams with timely material flow.

Shifts are Tue-Sat 8:00 am–4:30 pm with orientation time, and benefits include health insurance starting day one, a 401(k) with match, PTO,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified forklift operator (Stand-up Reach Truck) required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
• Able to bend, twist and stand for the shift.
• Works in a food production/warehouse environment with noise and temperature changes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Move materials for daily production using stand-up reach trucks.
• Pick products from inventory and packaging using correct material.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Prepare product orders for pickup.
• Load freight orders for pickup and document receipts.
• Ensure incoming/outgoing materials meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with Plant Operations and Shipping to meet timelines.
• Receive and store incoming orders in racking.
• Maintain organized warehouse and conduct daily inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
