Job summary

Owens Corning in Stokesdale, NC is hiring a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to safely provide materials to machine centers and support efficient plant operations. This position requires forklift certification, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Ability to read a tape measure is required.
• Must pass forklift written exam and certification.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining material availability.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude necessary.
• One year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely provide materials to machine centers to maximize plant efficiency.
• Obtain forklift certification and follow safety rules.
• Keep aisles, doors, panels and extinguishers clear at all times.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and housekeeping per 5S standards.
• Log issues to supervision and inventory control as needed.
• Maintain safe operation and communicate with other lift drivers.
