Job summary

Owens Corning in Virginia is seeking a skilled Materials Handler to support production lines on the 2nd shift. You will operate a forklift, pull core materials, and ensure accurate material flow from stock to the layup lines.

The role requires reading schedules, verifying tickets, and handling items up to 50 lbs. You will coordinate with upstream and downstream departments in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Shifts run Monday through Thursday 3:00pm–1:30am with a $2 per hour differential.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and safety training required.
• Ability to read schedules and tickets accurately.
• Know-how to pull cores and materials to lines.
• Ability to operate lift truck in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload and move materials.
• Verify materials against schedules and pull required cores.
• Direct core to saw/routers and manage material flow.
• Maintain safe housekeeping and communicate with departments.
• Work from schedule with flexibility for urgent requests.
