Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Rural Hall, NC is hiring a Material Handler to efficiently move materials from manufacturing and suppliers to assembly plants and customers. The role requires operating MHE, unloading inbound materials, and supporting production lines. Overtime is required and safety is a priority.

Shift is Monday through Thursday from 4:15pm to 2:15am, pay is $19.30 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2 years sit-down forklift experience, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of sit-down forklift experience required.
• Forklift certification a plus or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• One year or more of experience as warehouse clerk preferred.
• Fluency in English required, verbal and written.
• Basic computer literacy preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, Stand-up Reach Trucks, and Swing Reach Trucks.
• Complete daily checklist on Material Handling Equipment before shift.
• Unload inbounds, warehouse materials, supply production lines and load outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform daily cycle counts.
• Ensure materials are properly unitized, labeled, and safely stacked.
• Assist as needed to maintain teamwork and safety.
