AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking Dockworker and Forklift Operator at our Omaha, NE service center. The role focuses on safely loading and unloading freight in a cross-dock environment using forklifts and equipment, ensuring shipments are secured and accurately placed.

Responsibilities include manual handling, weight/dimension checks, inspecting for damage, and maintaining clear, compliant documentation while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Onboarding includes drug screening and background check.
• New hire training, assessments and forklift tests required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a cross-dock environment using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Manually load, recoup, stack and unstack shipments as needed.
• Use proper loading techniques and equipment (logistic bars, straps, dunnage, airbags).
• Operate company IT equipment to track movement of freight.
• Dimension and re-weigh freight to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Inspect freight for damage and document discrepancies.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, manifests and freight bills.
• Inspect company equipment and maintain professional conduct with customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
