AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Dock Loader to load and unload trailers, move freight on the service center docks, and plan efficient loading to maximize space and minimize damage. The role may involve various shifts and requires strict adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities include fueling equipment, inspecting for hazards, and maintaining clean dock areas. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be 18+, pass a drug screen and background check, and hold forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years or older.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiar with procedures for hazardous materials.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Count, add, and subtract digits up to 10,000.
• Flexible hours are available.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without equipment.
• Load freight to/from dock and trailers according to Bills of Lading and labels.
• Plan loading of freight to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook and unhook trailers, including landing gear operations.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Clean, sweep and wash dock, trailers, yard, and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
