Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. seeks a dockworker to safely load, unload, and move shipments across Service Centers docks. You may work varied shifts to meet customer needs and use forklifts to handle freight.

Responsibilities include planning loads, verifying Bills of Lading, and ensuring equipment safety. Duties also cover fueling equipment, cleaning docks, and performing additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Candidate should be able to be certified as a forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across docks.
• Plan loading to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear as needed.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operation; comply with safety rules.
• Fuel trucks and clean work areas; perform other duties as assigned.
