Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time dock worker to load and unload trailers, position freight, and prepare shipments for delivery across service centers.

Duties include planning loads to maximize space, inspecting equipment, fueling vehicles, and maintaining clean work areas. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years, forklift certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain.
• Read, write and understand English well.
• Flexible hours and shifts.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Comply with safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without equipment.
• Load freight to and from dock and trailers per Bills of Lading and labeling.
• Plan loading to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operation.
• Fuel trucks, tractors and other equipment as needed.
• Keep docks, trailers, yards clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
