Job summary

Performance Food Group in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Forklift Operator to move freight, stock inventory, and uphold safety standards in a multi-temperature distribution center. The role involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks, following GMPs, and meeting productivity targets to support efficient food distribution.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of warehouse experience, with certification in forklift operation preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products from shelves and replenish inventory.
• Multi-temperature environment experience (cold, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper storage slots on racks and places pallets using forklift or manual handling.
• Counts incoming freight in staging and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock according to work orders.
• Rotates stock to front of rack and removes outdated inventory per policy.
• Inspects items for damage and performs temperature/quality checks.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Completes paperwork and secures equipment at end of shift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
