Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using a range of forklifts and RF equipment. The role emphasizes safe operation, accuracy, and adherence to production standards within a temperature-controlled logistics environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, picking orders, inspecting freight for accuracy and damage, and performing routine tasks such as inventory and battery changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and meets OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as required.
