Job summary

Hurricane Consulting Inc. seeks a forklift/operator specialist to load and unload pallets, operate 10K forklifts, and ensure safe container handling for military and commercial shipments. You will perform PMCS, document procedures, and conduct site surveys to verify lifting capacities.

Role requires knowledge of ATTLA letters, DTR mobility guidance, and hazardous material handling per TM38-250 and 49 CFR, with strict OSHA compliance. Report discrepancies to the Air Movement Operations Lead.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 10K forklifts.
• Working knowledge of ATTLA certification letters.
• Ability to determine the center of balance for items.
• Familiar with DTR Part III Mobility Appendix P.
• Hazardous material inspection and packaging per TM38-250 and 49 CFR.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets, supplies, and equipment from docks; enforce safety practices and document procedures.
• Operate 10K forklifts in support of the mission.
• Perform site surveys to determine safe lifting capacities.
• Conduct Daily PMCS and maintain equipment logs.
• Plan and execute on/offloading of military and commercial containers.
• Verify Military Shipping Labels (MSLs) with weight, TCN, and shipping details; correct as needed.
• Report maintenance or operational discrepancies to the Air Movement Operations Lead.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and Working Rules.
