Job summary

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, in Minden, LA, is seeking a Structural Prefab Technician to join its metals fabrication team. You will read blueprints, perform measurements, operate laser, shear, press brake, and turret machines, and fabricate parts for modular buildings with limited supervision.

The position runs 7:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday with overtime and every other Saturday 6:00 am–2:30 pm; safety PPE required; 50‑lb material handling capability recommended; successful candidates are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit; must reside within 50-mile radius of Minden, LA facility.
• No immigration sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment (laser, shear, press brake, turret).
• Layout, position, and secure materials on machines.
• Inspect parts using measuring tools to verify quality and dimensions.
• Perform basic programming and preventative maintenance of fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; participate in training and cross-training as directed.
