Job summary

XPO is hiring a Forklift Operator to join its dock operations in Sioux Falls. The role involves sorting, loading and unloading freight, using pallet jacks and Forklifts, and ensuring secure trailer loading.

The position requires lift-capable work on a non-climate-controlled dock and the ability to scan shipments with mobile devices. Starting pay is $22.85 per hour with a daytime-into-evening shift window (4–8pm).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and efficiently, following company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
• Lift freight and objects up to 50 lbs frequently and over 70 lbs occasionally.
• Safely walk/stand on non-climate-controlled dock; may be slippery.
• Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as needed.
