Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team in South Carolina. The role involves efficiently handling palletized and non-palletized freight, using a forklift and pallet jack, and ensuring freight is secure inside trailers.

You’ll scan shipments on handheld devices and adhere to safety policies on a non-climate-controlled dock. The position offers an afternoon shift, 30+ hours per week benefits eligibility, and is Motor Carrier Act Exempt.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to do basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Flexible to work days, evenings, nights and weekends depending on freight volumes.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools.
• Maintain safety by following company policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a non-climate-controlled dock for extended periods.
