Job summary

Cargill in Schuyler, NE is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift. The role requires operating forklifts in production and warehouse areas, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Shift is 1:00PM - 9:00PM, full-time, with overtime as needed.

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, be 18+, and able to obtain forklift certification if not already certified. Prior forklift or related experience and familiarity with scanning systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain and maintain certification upon hire.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Previous forklift or powered industrial truck experience.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with scanning systems or inventory tracking tools.
• Work history in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to move materials, pallets, and products within production and warehouse areas.
• Load and unload trucks, storage areas, and production lines safely and efficiently.
• Use scanning tools and computer systems to complete basic records.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform job duties in a fast-paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
