Job summary

General Mills Avon Mill is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials, load outbound shipments, and support production on the 2nd or 3rd shift. The role requires forklift experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with overtime availability.

Starting pay is $24.81 per hour with a $0.50 per hour shift differential. Avon Mill operates 24/7 with a strong safety culture and opportunities for career growth and cross-training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred (2+ years).
• Ability to obtain forklift/PIV certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Move and store raw materials, ingredients, and finished products.
• Safely operate forklift within production/packaging and warehouse operations.
• Select, prepare, and load products for outbound shipment per customer specs.
• Receive, unload, and inspect inbound materials.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
